JESSICA SCHUCHARDT
My name is Jessica Schuchardt— like “shoe” and “heart”—and I am an actress, singer, and dancer from Hunterdon County, NJ. Growing up, I was lucky enough to venture into New York City with my mom to see Broadway shows and attend master classes, where I absolutely fell in love with musical theatre. Since then, that love has expanded into acting for plays, film, and television.
I trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in the New Studio on Broadway, where I performed in ensemble roles such as Helen in Carrie: The Musical (understudying Carrie), as well as major supporting roles like the Little Girl in Ragtime, directed by studio head Kent Gash. Throughout my BFA training, I also appeared in a number of short films. I not only loved the intensive training at NYU, but also its emphasis on theatre within a cultural and political context. In addition to my BFA, I earned a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.
Outside of performing, I am deeply passionate about my vinyl collection, making Pinterest boards, building Lego sets, and my dog.
